6. Peterborough to Fotheringhay, via River Nene.

Monday 15th July we tried out the free Peterborough pump-out, which is operated by the Nene Abloy key. This was fairly serious and a great improvement on the one at March. We eventually left at 11.55. Wansford Lock was passed at 15.20 and we arrived at Fotheringhay visitor moorings at 17.50. We were soon caught for our £2 mooring charge. That night we went to the “Falcon” pub and had an excellent pint and meal.
